Volunteer Opportunities

Director of Club Volunteers
Access list of families and their interest in volunteer opportunity, organize list of volunteers per event and distribute list to organizers of club events, maintain list of volunteer hours completed per family.


Wave Coordinator
Work with the Milwaukee Wave for joint marketing and participation events.


Registrar
Work with Milwaukee Kickers to register all recreation and select players, communicate with Director of Recreation and Select Programs about player status, communicate with Treasurer concerning financials.

Referee Scheduling


Practice Scheduler (OPEN)
Review emails form coaches/team managers, organize practice schedule according to requests and resolve any conflicts with practice scheduling for both Rec and Select. Main time commitment is August 1-August 31 and March 15-April 15. 5 hours a week


Rec Field Rescheduling (OPEN)
Handles rescheduling of Rec games due to conflicts/weather cancellations. Coordinates field availability with team coaches, and master field schedule. Contacts ref coordinator to reschedule. Main time commitment is during each outdoor season, approx. Sept. 1-Oct. 31 and April 15-June 15.


Rec Coashes (1/team, MULT)


Rec Age Group Coordinators (MULT)
Age group coordinators (AGC) work with recreation director and club registrar to organize teams, assign players, assist managers and coaches to organize each fall and spring soccer season.

Fourth of July Parade Coord
This volunteer position works with the board, coaches, managers, players and appropriate 4th of July committees to have an entry in the WFB 4th of July Parade.

Lubar Field Coordinator
Responsible for the scheduling of Lubar Field (and related communication with the WFB School District to do so.)


Director of Fields
Organize field maintenance, lining and goal up keep, work with Director of Club Volunteers to assign field responsibilities for spring and fall seasons Coordinate field assignments, administrate budget for field and goal upkeep.


Director of Kicker Relations
Attend Milwaukee Kickers Board of Directors meeting, report to WFB Soccer Club board discussions, actions, and other items from meetings, represent WFB region interests.


Website Coordinator


Director of Club Communications
communicate with other individuals and groups within the club and community, assist Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator, assist Website Coordinator, and assist Newsletter Coordinator.


Secretary
Attend and take minutes of all board meetings and other club events as necessary, type and distribute minutes to board members before next meeting, distribute minutes to Website Coordinator for posting on club web site.


Treasurer
Maintain financial activities of checking account, communicate with Milwaukee Kickers financial representative, work with in federal tax laws, coordinate audits of club finances.


President


Social Event volunteers (OPEN, MULT)
These volunteers will help with securing raffle and auction items, set up for the event and other necessary tasks. Time commitment ranges from 4-6 hours, including planning and tasks during the event.


Social Event (was Sprecher Night) Coord (OPEN)
Social Event Coordinator organizes the annual club fund raiser. Responsibilities include determining and securing a venue and food. Working with membership and other community organizations to secure raffle and auction items is also in this position. Time commitment is 5-10 hours over the course of planning.


Picture Day vols (OPEN, MULT)
Picture day volunteers are present to answer questions, distribute forms, and organize teams to keep the process moving. Time commitment is 4 hour shifts for each day.

The Picture Day Coordinator sets up dates, location and sign up (by team) for team and individual pictures.

Dir Special Events (OPEN)
The Director of Special Events works with coordinators of each event or activity to ensure that the event is publicized, staffed and run to meet the goals of that event and support the goals of the Club.

Tournament various volunteers (OPEN, MULT)
There are many different positions that this opportunity includes. Planning, set up, and sales for concessions and souvenir wear. This also includes registration, field marshalls, and miscellaneous other tasks. Time commitment ranges from 3 to 6 hours.

Uniform Recycling (OPEN)
The position will be responsible to communicate with club to collect gently used soccer uniforms and equipment and identify worthy and appropriate organizations to donate these donations to.


Field Development/Maint Coord (OPEN)


Field Crew (MULT)
Field Crews (formerly known as "Goal/field maintenance") will help the Field Manager with pre-season field set up, lining, goal and net setting. Crews are made up of 3-6 volunteers and will have primary responsibility to maintain lines as necessary during the season. Pre-season time will be 2-5 hours. In-season time will be 1-2 hours to line when necessary. Crews currently report to the Director of Fields but will eventually report to a Field Manager.

Field Managers, 1/field (OPEN, MULT)
A Field Manager is responsible for the management of a single field, and reports to the Director of Fields. Each Field Manager will be responsible to oversee pre-season field set up, field marking, and goal and net setting. There will be one manager per field (there may be more that one pitch per field). There will be a Field Crew (formerly known as Goal/Field Liners) to help with all aspects. Pre-season time will be 2-5 hours and as needed for maintenance during the season. This position is a work in progress.


PR and Mktng Coord (OPEN)


Newsletter Coord (OPEN)
The Newsletter Coordinator compiles articles contributed by different club sources and copies to the newsletter website into an established format. There may be needs for editing and some opportunity to write if interested. Time is 1-3 hours per issue, with issues produced every 4-6 weeks.
